Update: February 2018 – Planning application approved

McCarthy & Stone is delighted that the submitted plans for the redevelopment of land at Church Street, Nuneaton have been approved by members of the Nuneaton and Bedworth Planning Applications Committee. Construction on the site is due to start in 2018.

Update: November 2017

McCarthy & Stone is pleased to advise that, following our consultation with the local community, including a public exhibition in September 2017, a planning application has now been submitted to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and will be determined by this authority in the coming months.

The submitted proposal would carefully redevelop the site with a scheme which would respect the relationship with neighbouring properties and deliver a high-quality design. Our aim is to positively contribute to the character of this part of Nuneaton, whilst improving the housing choice for local older people. Our plans propose 50 Retirement Living apartments; together with secure on site car parking and attractive new landscaping.

The submitted plans can also be viewed online at the Council’s website via the planning page. The application number you will need to quote is 035246.

Public exhibition

As part of our commitment to community engagement, McCarthy & Stone hosted a public exhibition to display its initial proposal to the local community.

The public exhibition allowed local people to view our proposals, speak with members of the project team and provide us with feedback on the plans before we submit a full planning application.

Further materials displayed at the exhibition are now available to download here.
